Spacious and light-filled 1-bedroom (+ additional queen murphy bed) apartment on the top floor of a classic West Philly Victorian.
The home is on a leafy, charming block in a friendly, close-knit community. West Philly is the best Philly--Clark Park is a 10-minute walk away with a Saturday farmers’ market from 10 am to 2 pm. You’ll also find many restaurants within walking distance, including Ethiopian, Palestinian, Thai/Lao, Vietnamese, New American, and Mexican. Reanimator Coffee is just two blocks away.
The apartment is two flights up via a private entrance and includes an in-unit washer/dryer (though all appliances are from the '90s/00s, so I avoid using this particularly loud one after 9 pm). Happy to provide clean guest-only towels and linens for your stay. There is a queen murphy bed in the living room, a room which also has a door for privacy for a group of 3 or 4.
I recently moved into this apartment and am still transitioning to living here full-time. Although I’m slowly settling in and adding the final touches, it’s comfortable and well-suited for anyone needing an affordable place to stay for a few days or a couple weeks (max) in Philly.
I work remote in advocacy and am finishing up a grad degree out of state. Grew up in Philly and spent the last decade+ in Nyc.
I love this neighborhood and this apartment. Knowing how pricey (and problematic) Airbnbs can be, I thought I'd offer the space to the Listings Project community since I'm out of town so much. If the cost is an issue, let me know what accommodation you're requesting and what brings you to the area.
Leaseholder
