The bedroom isn't much to look at, but it's fully furnished, and attached to a bright, sunny common living space. Also, it's not restricted to men! Still waiting for NonbinaryCave to catch on.
We're open to a number of different kinds of housemates—other than the kind of roommate who watches a lot of TV in the living room with the sound blaring through the walls: our loft is blessed with a southern exposure and looks out over a church as well as some kind of Jesus Grotto in the church courtyard; and the sounds you're most likely to hear (outside, that is; lots of music played inside) are the bells of the church or the splash of water in the grotto, so why ruin that with some Kardashian Reality-TV vocal fry?
It's a great place to chill out in, and since we're right in between the Montrose and Morgan Ave. stops on the L, there are any number of opportunities for diversion right down the street (or hell, down the hall: we're blessed with lots of friendly neighbours).

Rental requirements
$1500 includes rent plus all utilities as well as many common household supplies. Payment of one month's rent for a security deposit is required up front (there's also a small background/credit check). Payment of first month's rent is required on the move-in day.
We're looking for a long-term commitment, ideally, but a three-month trial period (spelled out in a written roommate agreement) gives everybody a chance to feel things out.
Pets Policy
One dog already lives here; he is four and a half, roughly 60 lbs., and is in love with most other animals, including humans).
Additions to the pack will obviously have to be capable of playing nice with the incumbent.
One roommate is partially allergic to cats--it seems to depend on the cat.
