Looking for 2 new roommates!

LOCATION: Two rooms are opening up in a spacious, recently-renovated, 3 bed crown heights apt, 10 min walk from the Nostrand Ave A/C, 13 min walk from Nostrand Ave 3, 15 min walk to President St. 2/5, B65 and B44 within a block walk. 8 min bike ride or 30 min walk to Prospect Park, 5 min walk to Brower Park, across the street from a lovely community garden. 10 min walk to Franklin Ave with tons of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and many local spots even closer.

APARTMENT: The apt has 2 floors with dishwasher, in-unit laundry and dryer, 1.5 bath, 2 living room spaces, central AC, and an extra room used as an office/music room. There's a ton of space for a NY apartment. There is also a huge backyard that needs a little TLC but is fully ours - bonus if you have the willingness to fight the mosquitoes with me this summer to make it a more enjoyable space!

THE ROOM & LEASE: There are 2 rooms available for $1,500, south facing, room for a queen bed, dresser, and chair. Utilities are another $100/month. Move in is flexible, but as soon as 4/1 and as late as 5/1, looking for people to sign a year lease (no option for month-to-month)

THE VIBE: My roommates are sadly both leaving me to move in with their partners - sad for me, but happy for them! So I am looking for two roommates who are committed to cleanliness in common spaces like not leaving dishes in the sink overnight, picking up their items around the house within a day, and are down for a chore chart!
I have become friends with roommates in the past and would love to have the vibe where we chat during the day and would be happy to hang out and still have our own lives. I like being able to have friends come over for dinner or to stop by and say hi. I enjoy being able to host friends from out of town and have enjoyed when my roommates hosted their friends or some low key events like holiday decorating and watch parties. It created a nice community here that I'd love to continue! I do not want frequent ragers or people who want to bring the party home, but want my home to be a warm and social space where everyone feels comfortable and cared about.

About me (Kelly, she/her) I am a queer 27 year old woman who moved to NYC about a year ago from Washington, DC. I really love it here and am looking forward to being here for the foreseeable future. I really enjoy being outside doing basically anything but especially biking, playing ultimate frisbee, basketball, and also singing. I love hanging out with friends and meeting new people! I work as a software developer and I'm in the office 4 days/week right now.
