This apartment has been my home for almost 4 years! It is an amazing area, right next to Graham St and Grand St on the L train. Laundry is across the street, grocery stores, coffee shops, parks walking distance to our place.
Your future roommate is a woman in her early 30s, working in the arts and childcare. She is very chill, respectful, and fun to be around. Our apartment has a calm vibe, we’ve nurtured a friendly, open and sincere communication in our household and would like to find someone who would appreciate that energy. We are regular with cleaning common spaces, such as the bathroom, kitchen, hallway and living room.
The medium size room can fit a full/queen size bed, dresser, small desk, has a standard size closet, door lock and a window. There is potentially an option for keeping some of my furniture (full bed/mattress, dresser), this is something we can discuss closer to the date.
"As a roommate, I would say I’m pretty relaxed. I like to feel comfortable at home, and I try to extend that feeling to whomever I’m living with. I’m also a big extroverted introvert. I like to share stories, ideas, new music etc. (I probably will talk your ear off at some point), but I equally love time by myself. I’m a direct communicator, I don’t expect anyone to read my mind. And I’m just generally pretty generous, both energetically and materially."
Tenant
We're looking for someone who would stay 6 months minimum, with the option to stay longer. An informal sublease agreement between roommates is to be signed upon committing to the apartment. You would be paying one month worth of rent + security deposit, so $1295 + $1245, total $2540.
We kindly ask for proof of income, such as pay stubs/bank statements, roommate reference, some form of Social media account.
Bills are split in half (electricity, gas and WiFi), water and heat are included. They vary depending on the season, but I would say roughly it sums up to $110-120 for each person monthly.
No pets.
We're looking to have it committed by May.
