About this Service

I focus on navigating difficult patterns stemming from childhood, relationship and intimacy challenges, understanding and healing trauma, self-empowerment and managing intense emotions and thoughts. I aim to facilitate a space where you can confront your concerns and fears while working to envision a path forward that feels manageable and in alignment with your values. As a therapist, I believe the curiosity we hold for ourselves and others is a key component to living a life that feels hopeful and enriching. My style is direct with honest feedback, accountability, and insight to help you move forward in your goals.

My therapeutic approach stems from the concept of mutuality. Mutuality is an empathic and open mindset that I both inhabit and practice in order to better understand the relationship I have to myself and the people that I share spaces with. I offer a holistic and psychodynamic approach to therapy, using tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Buddhist Psychology, Mindfulness, Somatics, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I look for the unique nuances that each client possesses and facilitate a space where clients can feel brave to confront their concerns, symptoms, and fears all while working to envision a path forward that feels manageable, satisfying, and even exciting.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, and chronic pain. I also help clients with navigating relationship challenges, feelings of discontentment, identity development, self-worth, creativity, perfectionism, communication and attachment related concerns. Lastly, I ensure that our work together is grounded in understanding the societal and cultural contexts in which we exist. I ethically practice a multicultural lens especially when working with clients who identify as a different ethnic or cultural background than myself. I also take this into account in regards to sexual and gender orientation. My clients are always given the autonomy to teach me about who they are, where they come from, and how they identify.

About this Lister

My inspiration to become a therapist originated from participating in dance and movement related therapies growing up and throughout my young adulthood. In addition, I am a yoga, somatics, and mindfulness teacher and will often utilize tools from these modalities to help clients develop the skills necessary to find comfort and sanctuary in their physical bodies. I believe that these techniques are powerful ways to deepen the therapeutic process, integrate unresolved trauma, and develop new insights and resources for living in alignment with your most authentic self.

Background and Expertise

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University where I completed over 700 hours of clinical supervision. I currently am located at Intuitive Healing Psychotherapy Practice in Flatiron. I hold certifications in community engagement practices, yoga, and mindfulness. I facilitate classes and workshops around the NYC area based on movement and psychology.

It can be difficult to feel isolated in the challenges and emotions you may be experiencing. Having someone to support you during a turbulent time or to even just listen can help tremendously. I aim to create an environment that is warm, inviting, and collaborative. Please reach out to schedule a 15-minute free phone consultation.
