A very central, clean, and comfortable apartment located in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Just a 2-3 minute walk to the Q Train 86th Street Station, and a 7-8-minute walk to the 4, 5, and 6 trains 77th Street and 86th Street Stations. Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park, and in 15-20 minutes, you'll find many other museums including the Guggenheim.

The building offers amenities including bike storage, laundry facilities, an elevator, and a small gym. Surrounded by excellent restaurants, bars, and shops, it is a very pleasant, and accessible neighborhood.

Our space is especially unique for its location and cleanliness. The decoration is simple, functional, and tasteful—at least we think so! The apartment is home to a couple working in contemporary art and science (a curator and a quantum physicist), reflecting their eclectic taste. You'll find many books, artworks, and plants around, creating a warm and inviting environment for our guests.

The apartment is a one-bedroom flat with all the necessary amenities. We are subletting it only for this specific period while we are away.

Regarding the beds:
In the bedroom, there is a very comfortable queen-sized bed, along with a baby crib. In the living room, we have a a full-sized bed (this bed was installed after photos were taken, so it is not yet in the photos). This setup can accommodate a couple in the living room if necessary, while another couple and a baby can stay in the bedroom. However, it would be more comfortable for just a couple.

The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped. We share everything in the kitchen (including a rich variety of spices and other goods) with our guests, so you truly feel at home. While our personal belongings are in the space, it doesn't feel like an empty hotel room. We always allocate ample storage space for our guests, such as chests of drawers and a wardrobe. We take great care to leave the space in the best possible condition, with special attention to hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring it is spotless and welcoming for every guest.

If it's your first time in NYC, you will be very happy that you have chosen this area: it is central. If you have been to NYC before, you will already know that this is a highly convenient area to stay in, with easy access to everywhere else! We are surrounded by museums, excellent restaurants, comedy clubs, bike lanes, and universities. Depending on your interests and field of work, you will find this area very beneficial for many reasons. We are always happy to provide recommendations for our favorite restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and more.

We are a couple working in science and contemporary arts. We have been living in this apartment for more than eight years, and we are tenants. We are currently on parental leave. Our close friends who live nearby will show you the space and hand over the keys. They will also be available to assist you with anything related to your stay at our place.
