This amazing, huge, sunny apt is between the Nostrand A/C and Franklin 2,3,4,5 and the S train. This is a 4th floor walkup (top floor) so it is not accessible sadly.
The common area is well furnished already, but we are open to swapping our couch out if you have a really nice one. Great kitchen with a dishwasher and gas stove, as well as a new fridge. Coin operated laundry and bike storage in basement, plus a laundromat across the street.
Utilities run 90-200+ per person per month based on seasonal heat/ac usage (highest in winter only). We have split unit AC/heat pumps in every room.
Room for rent: $1264, well lit, high ceilings, shares a wall and the bathroom with a giant soaking tub with one roommate. The pictures of the room are a year old and the walls have been repainted and resurfaced since.
Roommate compatibility things: generously clean/ tidy, responsible, friendly, also interested in the cliché sanctuary apartment description, ok with giving a heads up before bringing people over. We try to be quiet when others are sleeping, communicate directly, and otherwise handle things w respect, understanding, and compassion. The walls are a bit thin and sound travels in the apartment so we ideally want a roommate who is conscious of noise!
We would love to hang out with our potential roommate to see if we are all a good fit. We both love techno and watching movies, it is ok if you don't :)
Our non-negotiables are: no cats, scent free common space, no yelling, type A clean person (please), mindful of cooking smoke and ventilation, shoes off in the house, must believe in: free Palestine, love trans people, abolish ICE
1 roommate is 29, phd student, loves to tend to my community garden, likes to cook, occasionally hosts dinner (she/they). The other roommate is 28, loves vinyl, enjoys creating a cozy vibe at home for everyone! (he/him)
current tenant (one of us has been here for 3 years, the other for 1 year)
Looking for a roommate who would sign a year long lease meaning 1 month rent and security deposit. This would be through management, the process was pretty lax when we both did it.
NO CATS, well trained dog ok :)
