Hello. I own a 1000 sq. ft., 2-BR house in the Village of Catskill. From my house it's a five-minute walk to Main Street with its cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, and art and music venues. Walking distance to Catskill Creek, the Hudson River, and beautiful green spaces. A short drive to many nature preserves and other charming Hudson Valley towns. Eight minutes by car to the Hudson Amtrak Station. 10 minutes to the Thruway. 30 minutes to the mountains.

My house is small but comfortable. It gets tons of light. I have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. A mini-split heating/cooling system. A backyard that needs some love. Parking is free (no meters, no permit required) on the street out front.

Though initially intended as a second home, the house is now my sole residence. I commute to NYC two days a week, returning home in the evening because I have a (small) dog. I'd like to be able to stay over in the city occasionally with my dog, without having to impose on friends, most of whom live in buildings that prohibit dogs. I'm looking for someone who might want to negotiate an ongoing guest-bedroom swap, or perhaps "double-share" would be the more apt term. I'd make my guest bedroom available to you for occasional short stays whether I'm at the house or not, and you'd similarly make your guest bedroom available to me and my sweet, quiet, and well-behaved pup. I keep my house very clean and tidy, and I'd be seeking the same in an apartment. Obviously a plan like this would require flexibility and good communication.
