A note about the train:
The train to Grand Central Station takes approx 140 minutes (just over 2 hours) -- it's relaxing, quiet, and scenic. Ideally suited for those needing to go into Manhattan no more than twice per week, or looking for a weekend / remote work space.
I'm the current tenant (32F). I work remotely as an editor/writer and come into Manhattan once or twice a week for graduate school. I travel often for work -- it is not unusual for me to be away 1-2 weeks per month.
I'd prefer to live with someone quiet-ish, clean-ish, and creative-ish, which is more or less what I'm like. I host occasionally, but not most weeks. I keep the house clean (i.e. I'll leave books out but not dishes) and mutual respect is important to me. I'm a writer but don't treat the house as one big studio space or anything. I like my private space, my dog, plants, books, and art.
We would share a bathroom upstairs and the house's gravel parking driveway.

One-year renewable lease. Rent listed is for one bedroom. Two references, two months pay stubs required before leasing. One month's rent + security deposit required up-front.
Showable in-person or by video.
Pets may be allowed on a case by case basis.
I have a well-trained 6yo “Lassie” dog who is at the house roughly half of the time. He’s a sweetheart, very slow-moving and enjoys cuddling on the couch.
