If you like outdoor space this is for you. This is a furnished duplex one bedroom with a large garden that I’ve planted from scratch.

The apartment: there is a kitchen with a large bertazzoni stove and leibheir fridge. Dishwasher. A living room with a knoll sofa and string shelving. The staircase past a large window and lithograph art from Mexico leads to the bedroom and bathroom area.

Has a queen sized bed. tub is extra large and also holds heat for a long time making baths nice!

There’s washer hook up. (We will leave our washer for you!) in apartment wash?! No electric for dryer. Brand new heater/AC split.

Backyard is as big as the apartment and is completely private. There is a greenhouse I built. A fig tree which will bloom during summer, blueberry bush and a variety of flowers.

If you need a lot of amenities this isnt a good fit you but if you want a comfy quiet space that’s already laid out and you value outdoor space this is your spot.

Start date as early as May 15 2025 move out 14 months later August 31 2026

We will be out of NYC for work and leaving our place furnished. This is best set up for someone with minimal stuff. Great for students and professors. No pets.

Located in the heart of Harlem. Cross streets Madison and E 128th. Link to the 1,2,3 or 4,5,6. Sometimes I take the M1 bus home because it drops me at the corner!

Favorite spots: Harlem Pilates, 9tails coffee, Harlem biscuit, ofrenda yoga, sugar hill creamery.

It’s a small building. People are quiet and keep to themselves. There’s a firm rule no subletting for airbnb etc the building will notice and you’ll be fined.

About This Lister

We are a couple. Jacob is a professor going on tenure (Annie used to believe this meant vacation but it turns out it means more research-thankfully Jacob love this.) Annie imports pottery from Mexico where she has dual citizenship. She will be working in Mexico the majority of the year.

We moved into this space in 2021 and have spent the years cultivating it. We want someone who will enjoy the space and take care of our home while we are gone.
