IMCD Lighting seeks a production assistant to join our team of event lighting professionals on a part time basis. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a flexible schedule. Reporting to the production department, the production assistant will aid in ensuring all of our events run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Work in our Midtown office packing and unpacking materials going to or from an event.
Working with PM and Production Electrician on sites throughout NYC to ensure a smooth production.
Aiding in the transportation of equipment.
Assist with various administrative tasks such as updating schedules, filing receipts, inventory management, etc.
Schedule and Compensation:
Pay $30/hr, negotiable based on experience.
Minimum hours, 20 per week, with more hours available during busy periods.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
A desire to work in event production
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
Familiarity with database systems and an interest in learning more.
Formal study of theater/entertainment production (stage management, lighting design, production management) or 1+ year in similar role
Must be able to lift 30lbs.
Valid driver’s license a plus.
Start date is flexible - earliest date January 20th, 2025.
