Hi, I currently live in Hudson, and am moving into a big gorgeous home in Athens, NY. I am looking ideally for someone from the city who wants a place upstate to come and retreat to as they please. Located in the heart of historic Athens, this 1870s colonial has everything one could need for an upstate retreat, including an in ground pool. Fully furnished with the essentials, but enough space to make it your own. Beautifully renovated with modern amenities such as all electric heating/cooling, and still retaining the charm of its past with a functional wood stove. The first floor boasts a beautiful open floor plan, while the second floor has a charming den and three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. And a washer and dryer. A short walk to everything Athens has to offer, a 10 minute drive or ferry ride to Hudson and Amtrak, and a 20 minute drive to the Catskill Mountains. Must be ok with a dog.
I am 42 female, working in media who has enjoyed living in the Hudson Valley area for the last three years. I am currently moving into a larger house so that I can have some room to expand my office and studio space. The place has 3 bedrooms, outside of the office and I would love to share the space with the right person. Ideally, someone part-time who can come and go as they please and wants to live a balanced lifestyle between here and the city. I am an avid outdoors person constantly hiking in the mountains and enjoying all the wonderful things this area provides. Although very active and social, I do really cherish my home as a retreat to come home to. I do enjoy occasional dinner parties and love to invite guests and have a open and welcoming space to friends and family. But do also want someone who values their quiet time. This is not a party house. I do have a super energetic 7-year-old Husky mix who loves people and other dogs. Would have to do a meet-and-greet probably beforehand. This is a space where everyone is welcome.
New renter
Will need to provide references and a partial broker fee to move in - half of rent.
if this is something you need a shorter commitment for - I would open to discussing.
I have one dog, so will need to make sure any dogs get along.
