THE PLACE

Spacious front room with south-facing balcony, newly renovated eat-in kitchen, full bath with a fabulously responsive heat-on-demand heater. High-CRI bulbs in all the lighting fixtures. High-speed internet. Adjustable-height desk, ultra-quiet washer, HEPA filter should you wish it. The apartment comes fully furnished.
In sum: Cozy but minimal, everything you need but no froufrou.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Three-minute walk to Helmholtzplatz. Shops, restaurants, cafes, and Saturday markets all within a five-minute walk. Five minutes on foot to the M10 tram, which goes direct to Hauptbahnhof. Five minutes to S-Bahnhof Prenzlauer Allee. Fifteen minutes’ walk to either Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark, where there’s a sprung track open to the public, or to Volkspark Friedrichshain, with running trails. Proximity to the S-Bahn Ring means nothing is ever too far — you can be at Silent Green for that Toshimaru Nakamura show in 20 minutes, the airport in under 50, Mitte in minutes, or Muggelsee in an hour.
The neighborhood features a mix of young families and creatives. At night, Helmholtzplatz offers some of the best vibes in town — more on the mellow end.

Rental requirements
We’re mainly looking for someone from December on, preferably to stay through February.
We might have some flexibility on the start date, and it’s possible our home will be available into March. But this is not a vacation rental — please forbear from inquiring about stays of just a few weeks.
No smoking, no smudging, no pets (alas). Solo traveler preferred; couples considered on a case-by-case basis.
No loud parties, no running a business with people coming through. This is our home — we’re looking for someone thoughtful, quiet, tidy.
We keep a predominantly plant-based home. If you cook meat, please be mindful about ventilation and grease spatters.
We’d prefer someone not in need of registration (“Anmeldung”).
Fees for a Solo Traveler
– Rent €1,000/mo, inclusive of furnishings, heating, and utilities.
– Security deposit €1,000.
– Cleaning fee €100.
The house will be professionally cleaned for your arrival and on your departure. You will be responsible for keeping the house clean over the course of your stay.
