Enjoy privacy and quiet in a newly renovated 2nd floor bedroom and separate office space (2 rooms). The common areas are shared part time with the owners. My wife and I primarily live in Brooklyn. The kitchen, bathroom, laundry and living room are all on the same level as your bedroom and office. The large finished attic space (on the 3rd floor) is where my wife and I stay when we are using the apartment.

Located on a cul de sac overlooking Bear Mountain and the Hudson river, the apartment is accessed from a shared front entrance in a duplex house. It has tons of natural light and beautiful views. Your bedroom and office has its own ductless heating & cooling system for individual temperature control. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, large closet and additional storage for clothing. The office is furnished with a sit to stand ergonomic desk and chair. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need, including new pots and pans, a gooseneck coffee kettle and Cuisinart coffee grinder.

High speed internet makes this an excellent place to work from home.
There is a washer & dryer, dishwasher, tub & shower combo. Utilities are included.

The very large back yard has sweeping views of the Hudson River and an in-ground stone fire pit and picnic table, perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets and starry nights.

The village of Verplanck is a quiet hamlet with easy access to two parks. One features Lake Meahagh, basketball courts, community gardens and a playground. The second park has paths along the Hudson River, an outdoor amphitheater and seasonal farmers market. Several grocery stores, shops and restaurants are within a short drive. The unique art space Kino Saito is within walking distance. It has a nice coffee shop and hosts many performances inside of their beautiful gallery space. Under 10 minute drive to downtown Peekskill, which has a brewery, coffeeshops, a variety of international restaurants, bookstores and bars.

In under an hour you can be in the heart of New York City. Cortlandt Metro North station is 8 min away and it's only 12 minutes to the express train at Croton Harmon station.

My wife and I live primarily in our apartment in Brooklyn. I am a former Special Education teacher who now works as a property manager/rehabber in real estate and she works in film. We both love to hike, bike and enjoy the beauty of the Hudson Valley. We also love watching films and relaxing in the comfortable space that we built. From the apt. we often walk to the riverfront Hudson river park and Lake Meahagh in town. We love to travel and explore and enjoy sharing home cooked meals with friends. We own and have done extensive work to the property to make it as comfortable as possible. We are quiet and easy going.
