We are renting the five-bedroom upper triplex in our 1890s brownstone on a tree-lined, residential block in the heart of Prospect Heights. The apartment is filled with original details and includes a large, south-facing deck. We are renting the apartment partially furnished though these photos show most of it empty.
We are seeking a tenant starting in mid-January 2025 who will stay for 6 to 12 months or possibly longer. Dates flexible.
The apartment has 2 1/2 bathrooms (one on each floor), a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, hardwood floors and high ceilings. The parlor floor has a large living room and kitchen as well as a dining area that opens onto the sun-drenched deck, which overlooks a large, leafy garden. The middle floor has one large bedroom furnished as a den with a fold-out couch, one medium-size bedroom that we currently use as a home office, and a laundry room. The top floor has one large, one medium-sized and one very small bedroom.
Furnishings include two sofas, a few accent chairs and ottomans, a queen bed, a twin bed, two dressers, a vanity, three desks, a dining table and chairs, and kitchen and dining essentials. Heat and gas are included. The triplex is an easy walk to the B/Q and 2/3 subways, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, public library, botanic garden, farmer's market, grocery stores, restaurants, yoga studios, cafés, bars.
A tenant rents the garden floor apartment, which has a separate entrance.
No fee. No dogs, but cats are okay.
My husband and I are writers and researchers. We have owned this brownstone for more than three decades, and lived in the upper triplex for most of that time. We love our house and seek one or more tenants who appreciate its original details and charm. We are showing the apartment ourselves.
Owners.
Credit check, previous landlord references, signed lease, 1 month security deposit plus first month's rent.
