The room is large enough to include a full-size bed, desk & chair, and there is a double-door closet as well. There is a heating/cooling unit in each room.
$1900/mo, not including wifi + elec. Move-in date, move-out date, and rent are all negotiable.
My roommate is out of the city beginning 9/30 until sometime in the winter (her work start date is TBD). Looking for a clean and kind female roommate, good at communicating, no drugs/smoking.
We are on the same block as the Myrtle-Willoughby stop on the G train (which has greatly improved since this summer!), and there are options to a bus that goes directly west to Downtown Brooklyn, or east to the J/M/Z trains.
I've been living in this apartment for more than a year now, and I really love it! We're right next to a Duane Reade/CVS as well, and also a small Japanese grocery store/kitchen that's been my go-to since my first day living here. Haven't experienced anything dangerous or sketchy either, and there have been many nights where I've come home late.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
I am an Asian American woman in her mid-20s, from Austin, TX. I've lived in NYC for the past 6 years, always Brooklyn. I'm committed to a church in midtown Manhattan. I currently work in admin for a college in West Harlem, so I'm usually in office Mon-Thu, work from home (or a cafe) on Fridays.
Living-wise, I like to say I'm a pretty flexible roommate. I don't cook very much on my own, but am always down to cook and eat together with roommates/friends. I'm a pretty early riser, but know how to keep quiet in the mornings. Lights and loud noises also don't bother me at night. I am definitely on the cleaner and tidier side of things, especially when it comes to vacuuming/swiffer-ing. Some good friends have gifted me a super nice TV, so there's a good chance I'm watching a movie or show at night (always down for a movie night!). I don't usually host people overnight, but am always open for a friend crashing a night on our couch, when communicated in advance or if for an emergency.

Signing a sublease contract.
Our building does have a pet fee, although I'm unsure what the exact policy is if you're subletting. We can talk this through if you have a pet!
