We have a room opening up in our big, airy, light-filled 3-bedroom apartment on the third floor of an elevator building. We're a 4-minute walk from the B/Q at Church Ave and a 6-minute walk from Prospect Park. The apartment is 1500 square feet (!) and recently renovated, with hardwood floors, many windows, and a lot of storage space. There's no laundry in the building, but there's a laundromat across the street. The space includes an eat-in kitchen, living room and foyer, and three big bedrooms. (I know I keep mentioning the size, but if you come over, you'll see what I mean. A recent visitor: "Wow, I feel like I'm walking into a suburban house!")
Our apartment is tidy, clean, and peaceful. We like to cook, so the kitchen is well-stocked with appliances and cooking tools; and we like to read, so there are a lot of books. We enjoy chatting and hanging out in the kitchen when we cross paths, but we mostly do our own thing.
This apartment is a gem and we’ve managed to build a space that feels like a real home, not just a crash-pad, so we’re hoping to find a roommate who is really the right fit. We're looking for someone who's clean (important!!), considerate, and who knows how to take care of shared space.
Sorry, we are not able to consider roommates with pets!
We’re both queer journalists in our 30s. We both work from home. Naomi (she/they) is a native New Yorker who likes to make cocktails, go running in the park, and hang with her sister and nephew who live around the corner. Noble (he/him) is a transplant from Baltimore who likes to cook, rock climb and frequent the Flatbush branch of the BPL—just 5 minutes away!
