Hi there, I'm renting the larger room of my 2 bedroom apartment right on the border of Greenpoint and Wiliamsburg. Great location, 12 minutes walking to the Graham L or Nassau G, 2 blocks from McGolrick Park, Variety Coffee, grocery store, laundromat, etc. The apartment is a 2 bed/1 bath on the second floor of a 5 unit building. The building is pretty quiet, mostly young professionals, although we're BQE-adjacent so there's traffic noise from passing cars/trucks (nothing a noise machine can't fix). Another NY quirk is sloping floors, but after 4 years here I hardly notice... the main living area is furnished and the room is currently unfurnished, although if you need the basics (mattress/bed frame/dresser) I can provide those with a little notice. Available now through the end of May, as a friend is moving in in early June. $1700/month + split utilities.
I'm a 40 year old designer (she/her) working M-F 9-5 in the city. My weeknights are pretty quiet and most weekends I'm out of town renovating a house upstate, so you'll have the place to yourself plenty. I try to be tidy but not overbearing, respectful of things and others, and do my best to live sustainably. Slight preference for a female roommate with a similar vibe. If it sounds like a good fit, I'd love to hear from you. :)
