Hello! I'm looking for someone to either join the lease long-term or sublet (month-to-month) the other bedroom (optionally furnished) in my Clinton Hill/BedStuy duplex penthouse starting either April 1 or April 7, dates flexible. Rent is $2,800/month.

This is a 3-bed, 1.5-bath apartment (3rd bedroom is used as an office) with a giant *private* rooftop terrace plus a large balcony. The building is new and located at Lexington & Bedford Aves, super close to the G and A/C trains. Bedrooms are on different floors, and we each have our own bathroom with ample storage.

If you want it furnished, the bedroom will have a Queen (west elm) bed frame w/ nightstands + nice mattress as well as a dresser, lamp, and built-in storage.

• The landlord is fantastic! He's responsive, takes great care of the building and has been willing to improve it at his own expense, like building the pergola. Could not ask for a better landlord, especially in NYC. There is a super that cleans the entry/stairwell and deals w/ trash & recycling once a week.

---About the neighborhood---
I've been here three years, it's an amazing location on the border of BedStuy & Clinton Hill; tons of great restaurants & bars, walking/biking distance to Fort Greene, Herbert Von King, & Prospect Parks. Our neighbors in the building are wonderful people who have become close friends! Transit is easy: one block to CitiBike station, 4 min walk to the Bedford-Nostrand G, 9 min walk to the Franklin Ave A/C/S. Close to several good grocery stores, bodegas, wine shops, cute coffee shops, BedStuy YMCA. Lots of good restaurants, bakeries and bars along Bedford, Franklin, Vanderbilt, Dekalb. Plenty of protected bike lanes and people running, getting coffee, or going out. Super walkable! Feels lively but also residential and community-oriented.

About This Lister

I'm a 31-year-old gay man (he/him), a sweetie at heart, active, social, and outgoing. I'm a master's student studying climate change at Columbia and I also work full-time in green energy tech (wfh sometimes but also have a WeWork). I've been friends with all my roommates and would love to build a good relationship with my next one!

I'm into a lot: running, climbing, cooking, yoga, dance classes, travel, ~the arts~, gardening (I did all the plants on the terrace), bopping around the city, hosting parties, meeting each other's friends. Equally comfortable with a picnic in the park or a late night dancing at Nowadays or Basement.

As a roommate, I'm clean & tidy but not a psycho about it, decent design sensibility, respectful and easygoing. I value open, clear communication and taking equal care of our shared space. A chore chart is not my vibe; if it's dirty, clean it, put stuff away, etc. Open to hiring a cleaning service to help out too.
