The apartment is stylishly furnished and decorated, and the bedroom includes a full-size bed, sofa, and table to work from. In unit laundry, large bathroom with bathtub, hard wood floors, kitchen with dishwasher, wine fridge, gas stove, and stocked with all dishware, table in dining room that seats 6-10. Nespresso machine, juicer, blender, etc all avail for use. Household uses green products for cleaning. Heat controlled by building and in-window AC for summer. Shared walk-in closet - there is room to add a dresser to your bedroom if you wish!

You will be sharing the apartment with a 34-y.o. female creative professional, who works from home and travels regularly. I'm a writer & a producer so I generally am focused on work. Generally clean with clutter here and there from work. Good wi-fi, some streaming services included, and utilities included.

Women & LGBTQ+ individuals are welcome. Quiet building - no parties and no smoking inside. No pets. No couples to share please - and respectful about bringing people home - I will be too! It's a zen, peaceful, beautiful place that makes you feel like you might not even be in the city! Shared financial responsibility of housekeeper will cost $140/mo per person.

Tons of nearby spots: Whole Foods is walking distance as well as other grocery spots, nice restaurants, bars, coffee shops, the library, parks, gym and fitness studios, cute shopping. Family-friendly neighborhood. C-Train is about 2-4 mins walk, G train is about 8-10 mins walk. Fort Greene Park is about a 15 minute walk from here, with a farmer's market on the weekend. If you have a vehicle, parking is about a 7/10 challenge in this neighborhood. There is usually some parking on most streets.

Sadly, no pets :( Plants are welcome and encouraged!

Available from mid-January for Jan - end of April, with potential for full year pending owner’s return (we will know in January). Option for shorter terms are open to discuss.


Approval from the co-op board and owner is required - the apartment has the owner's things so they want to know that the stuff will be treated kindly :)

About This Lister

I'm a 34-y.o. freelance creative professional (she/her) who works from home most days, but does travel a lot for work. I started living here about 1 year ago as the owners of the apartment are friends of friends. My current roommate is leaving to live with her boyfriend!

I enjoy a neat and quiet space, but clutter does come and go as I move through my day. I love food and enjoy cooking, so I'd love to share a dish or two with a new roommate. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, as that's primarily where I have been working from and I cook most meals from home. I enjoy taking care of the apartment / making it cozy, meaning fresh flowers, a naturally scented candle (I am very sensitive to strong perfumes / smells, etc so if you're a strong perfume / scent person - this may not be the right fit!).

I'm looking for someone who is respectful about noise (nothing too late), appreciates the space, is prompt in paying rent, will split household supplies (we use green products), takes initiative and effort to clean up and care for the space as we both inhabit it, and might want to share a few meals. I'd prefer to live with another woman or LGBTQ+ folk.

I don't mind sharing - I usually have extra leftovers for food, etc. I want to live in a harmonious household.

I do have dinners 1x times a month on a Sunday that are called "family dinners" where we invite folks over to share a family-style meal at the large table (seats up to 10!). I'd love someone who doesn't mind that, or even better, wants to be a part of it.
