I just signed a lease for 11/15 and looking for a person to share in this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment near the Cobble Hill section of Columbia Waterfront. I can sublease for long term or up to 6 months.
The pictures are of the actual room and bathroom that is en suite! Yes, I couldn't believe it either. The nighttime photo is off the previous tenant and shows how you can furnish. The kitchen has a brand new deep sink with marble countertop.
The room you will rent could fit a full/queen sized bed. There is great southeastern exposure in both the bedroom and private bathroom. You will have your own bathtub- so no need to share a bathroom with me! The room has one over-sized closet with above storage. The room gets great natural light and overlooks a garden- and is quiet from the past tenant. The kitchen is eat-in and will have a small table for you to sit at. The living room will be furnished and there is also another full bathroom that I will use. (I used the previous tenants living space and will have a sofa and TV for you to use for your living space. My bedroom opens up to the living space and there are french doors to let light into the living room. Our rooms will be on opposite ends and I have access to a separate entrance.
It is one flight up in an 8 unit building. The hallways are clean and well maintained and there is a live-in super. You will be less than 10 mins from Brooklyn Bridge Park and Cobble Hill Park! You can take the NYC Ferry and closest to the F,G at Bergen. Near Trader Joes and all amenities on Court street.
Cosmetic work on the space: The apartment is now fully repainted white and the bathroom has a brand new sink and vanity. The kitchen has a brand new countertop and oversized sink.
I am looking for someone long-term to sublease but you could also stay for 6 months if needed. The room comes unfurnished and there is room for a bed (queen/full), desk and dresser. There is a no pets policy.
I am a female in my early 40s and work in nonprofit work and sales. I am also a writing and have found the neighborhood to be inspiring living near the water. I am respectful and wake up early and are usually out by mid morning.
I am a typical ambivert (intro/extro) and have lived and worked in the area for 14 years. I have friends in the area and know the neighbors who are great and quiet. There is a no smoking policy in the building. I also do not drink. I have no pets and signed a rider with no pets. I am moving in mid-November and you can move in as late as December 1. I also am welcome to you moving in before.
Would be wonderful to share a space with someone who is respectful and communicates well.
I am current tenant who just signed a long term lease
The owner would need financials (credit check, personal bank statements, paystubs, tax return and photo ID) to see if you qualify for the space. You will be able to sign a sublease agreement with me. First month and Security for one month is due. Personal references are also required.
I will be showing the space ASAP. The rent once moving in will go to the owner.
