Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and personable Sales Associate to join our team at the NYC Christmas Holiday Market, representing a collection of fair trade, artisan-made ornaments and jewelry. This role requires a passion for ethical products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to drive sales in a festive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Engage with customers to share the stories behind the fair trade, artisan-made products and promote an understanding of their unique, handcrafted qualities.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience and assisting with product inquiries.
• Handle transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system and credit card payments securely.
• Arrange and maintain an appealing, organized display of products, replenishing stock as needed.
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly sales goals as set by management.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products, including materials, origin, and care instructions.
• Work collaboratively with team members to create a warm, welcoming shopping atmosphere.
• Ensure booth cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the market booth as needed.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in retail or sales, preferably in a high-traffic or holiday market environment.
• Passionate about fair trade, ethical products, and artisan crafts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage customers.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts.
