I’m a college professor working in Staten Island with a passion for teaching, writing, and lifelong learning. Originally from Utah, I’ve called many places home—California, Georgia, and now, for the past 11 years, New York City. Bay Ridge is where I’ve truly planted roots, and I love the community and all it has to offer.

I’m a friendly and outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and having great conversations. That said, my busy schedule with teaching, reading, and writing means I often keep to myself. When I’m not working, you can find me skating along the waterfront boardwalk, hitting the gym, or spending time with friends in the neighborhood.

I’m tidy and well-organized—while I’m not a total “clean freak,” I do appreciate a clean and harmonious living space. I have two kids who live in San Diego with my ex-wife, so I travel out west fairly often.
