Hello Listings Project friends-
I live in San Francisco in a small apartment with my boyfriend and dog that doesn't lend itself to creative deep dives. I work at a non-profit so a full-time studio is out of budget in SF. To make progress on my creative work, I've been taking "mini-retreats", staying somewhere for a few nights to work on my writing projects.
I am posting to find potential places for my mini-retreats. I'm looking for quiet places to stay for a few nights to a week, ideally in a natural setting. I'm down for rustic (yurts, composting toilets, outdoor showers, etc), non-traditional spaces, and urban spaces too if they are light/airy and conducive to creative work. I'd need Wifi/cell reception, a place to sit at the computer, a way to boil water/store food, and ideally heat of some kind for the sleeping space.
Rates have been getting so high on Airbnb/Hipcamp that it would be great to find a few consistent places I could develop a relationship with and contribute (cleaning, petsit, gardening) to decrease rental costs.
I'm casting a wide net - I love coming down to Los Angeles/Santa Barbara/Ojai, but would be open to anywhere within a few hours of San Francisco too. If you have a place that you would be open to renting short-term on occasion, I'd love to connect.
Warmly,
Christine
