Small apartment in an 1800s house, walking distance from the village center, park, and riverfront. It has original oak and fir floors, high ceilings, a propane fireplace, and pocket doors. The kitchen is a small galley style kitchen with a two burner induction cooktop and sink. The bedroom has a queen size bed, and there's a full bathroom with a shower off the bedroom. The apartment has a separate entrance and there is space to park in front of the house or plentiful street parking a short distance away. It's furnished with vintage and antique furniture and has basic supplies (sheets, blankets, towels, bare bones cooking supplies etc.)
Electric, water, wifi, and about half of heat is included in the rent. Renter is responsible for remaining heat and garbage (there is a transfer station a few minutes away that takes trash for a small fee and recycling for free).
The apartment is located right in the Village of Coxsackie, easily walkable to our tiny downtown and restaurants, bars, cafes etc, as well as a beautiful riverside park. We are about a 20 minute drive from the Hudson Amtrak station, a 30 min drive to Albany via I-87, an hour and 15 min to Poughkeepsie MetroNorth, and 2.5 hours to NYC.
I own the house and have been renting out the apartment short term, but looking for a long term tenant over the winter and possibly longer if it's a good fit for both of us.

Credit check, first month's rent, and a security deposit equal to one month of rent.
I have a small 18 lb rescue terrier, who is very friendly with people and most other small dogs. Dogs will be accepted on a case-by-case basis with a $500 pet deposit, returnable upon end of lease. They must have no aggression issues with other dogs and be leashed outside of the apartment.
