This 2nd-floor studio apartment is a sweet, small space with high ceilings at the back of the building, limiting the street noise activity. The house is an old 1910 frame building, with layers of history, and normal wear. It is a family-friendly building, owner-occupied on the 1st floor, and another family on the 3rd floor.
The kitchen is tucked in an alcove but open to the living/sleeping area. It has modern appliances and fixtures, including a granite counter and copper backsplash.
There is a small entry closet. The bathroom has a standard tub-shower, dual flush toilet, and stainless industrial sink.
This fully furnished apartment offers a queen-size bed with drawer storage underneath.
The living room/ sleeping area windows face north, allowing indirect, natural light. It's a great space to also work from home. Most of the furniture is minimal and modern.
With an architect/artist owner, it is a work in progress and has an interesting dialogue between materials, spaces, furnishings.
*Heat, electric, stove gas, and (hot) water are included in the rent. You are welcome to hook into our WIFI, but it isn't the strongest connection.
**This is a Non-Smoking unit
***Pets allowed upon individual review
There are plenty of amenities nearby, including coffee shops, restaurants, a laundromat, and grocery stores.
The R & F subway train stops are a short walk from the building and the 5th Ave & 7th Ave bus lines are also very convenient.
I am an artist/architect living with my family on the first floor. I am pretty easy-going and accommodating. Both of my kids are not around much, as they are in college.
I make myself available when needed, but do not interfere with any tenants unless particular situations warrant attention.
