I'm looking to trade homes 1-2 weekends per month for someone with a house in upstate New York!

This large one-bedroom bohemian sanctuary is rare in Manhattan for this price point. It gets a lot of light, and feels private and cozy in the middle of the craziness of the city. It's on the border between Soho and Nolita, nestled between shopping boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and nation's best cupcakes according to several news outlets (!!) Parking is scarce but not impossible in the neighborhood. Subway, walking, and Citibike rental are the travel method of choice! There are about a dozen subways within a 10 block radius.

The apartment is large for the neighborhood, but with only a single bed it's best suited for just one person. There's a separate bedroom, living room, a kitchen, and a small bathroom. There is a LOT of light that comes in, and the space is clean and well-maintained. Basically exactly like the photos.

The street is fairly quiet for the middle of Manhattan, both day and night (especially during the winter). That said, the heaters are old along with the rest of the building, and sometimes rattle. If you're a light sleeper, a pair of ear plugs should cover it, but if you're extremely noise sensitive please bear that in mind.

It is a 5th floor walk-up, and does not have an elevator or buzzer on the ground floor. Also, it is a bit unconventional, but the shower is located in the kitchen. The water pressure and heat is great, it's just...in the kitchen! Clean towels and sheets provided, of course. The neighbors all keep to themselves. Trash and recycling are all available downstairs on the ground floor. Gas stove.

No cable but plasma screen TV that hooks up to HDMI. The wifi is strong, so you should be fine for streaming or zoom calls.
