Hey folks!
I'm renting out my childhood apartment where I still currently reside. I'm visiting friends in Spain for the month, so I've decided to legally sublet my place while I'm away. I will not be making any profit on the rent, as this is a rent stabilized apartment. Ideally, I'm looking for a kind, responsible and respectful tenant that could use a peaceful space while they search for permanent housing, or for an extended stay in the city.
My place is about a seven minute walk to the 1st Avenue L Train station and about a 15 minute walk to Union Square. I'm three minutes from the East River /FDR. Stuytown is a pretty unique neighborhood for Manhattan. It's a sleepy community off the grid that's surrounded by grass, trees, parks and playgrounds.
This is a very quiet, clean, spacious, and fully furnished, two bedroom apartment with lots of sunlight!
Amenities: elevator access, laundry room, Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the main bedroom, espresso machine, toaster, water filter, and everything you need for cooking. I have subscriptions to Netflix, HBO max, Disney +, and Criterion Channel.
- No smoking
- No pets
My name is Jason. I'm a born and raised New Yorker who has spent ten years living and working in Europe. Five years ago I moved back to the city and took over the apartment where I was raised. I'm currently working as a sommelier at a restaurant in Rockefeller Center. I'm kind, friendly and enjoy meeting and accommodating new friends and family. I enjoy food and wine, dancing, hiking, learning languages and reading books.
I grew up in this apartment and I'm the current tenant.
There are a few legal documents my landlord will provide that will need to be signed to carry out the sublet. I will provide you with a list of these at the time of your visit.
