I am a corporate lawyer in the City; I moved to the US a few years ago and I became a landlord less than 2 years ago. I am currently living in another Brooklyn neighbourhood and I usually rent the apartments to friends or friends of friends. 2 of the rooms have remained empty for several months and I am not in a rush to rent - I want to make sure that my current tenants and any new tenants get along and are happy to share a comfortable living space at a reasonable rent.
