This spacious pre-war one bedroom has classic details (bookshelf nook, arched doorways, sunken living room) with modern, artsy decor. 750 square feet. This private, raised ground-floor apartment in a friendly neighborhood building features a king-sized bed in a large 3-windowed bedroom, a classic NYC tiled bathroom with pedestal sink, and a small but adequate kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances including a fridge, microwave, and stove. It's fully furnished and kitchen has full set of dishes, cups and cookware.

Located on the first floor. Laundry room n the basement. The super is responsive, friendly and lives next door.

The apartment has views of mature trees and the Q/B subway lines. Thanks to brand new sound-proofed windows, the subway is a distant rumble. Our two rescue cats, Emily and Olivia, are fed twice a day and otherwise like to relax and snooze. It includes high-speed FIOS WiFi internet and a Roku-connected TV (with subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime).

You'll be right across the street from Prospect Park (a 5 minute walk from Smorgasburg on Sundays). We are also two blocks from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and half a mile from the Brooklyn Museum and main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.

The neighborhood has loads of restaurants, shops, coffee houses, and bars. Just a couple subway stops from historic performance venues BAM and Kings Theatre.

Subway access. With the Q, B, and S lines a half block away, you're a short 3 stops from Manhattan or head the other way and spend the day in Coney Island, just a half hour away by train.

We are both writers and will be out of town the month of December 2024. We have owned the apartment since 2018. We are responsive and available — if any issues come up, we are a text message away.
