A 1920s duplex with a spacious front porch and decent backyard in Boyle Heights, $900 for a bedroom with a full-size bed on springs to lift it out of the way and a small office space totaling about 150 sq. feet, (split utilities and house supplies +$110)

This place is a gem:

* Vegetable garden you can contribute to
* Walking distance to bakeries. cafes, and 10 minute walk to Mariachi Plaza for public transit and highways too.
* Kitchen fully stocked
* Laundry on-site

Restrictions:
* No pets as my roommate already has a dog. (An Alaskan husky)
* No smoking indoors
* Street parking only

The bedroom is about 118 sq. ft. and the small office connected to the kitchen with an "L" shaped table is about 30 sq. ft.

(Note: We've re-arranged some things in our place so the photos show a bedroom when it had a King sized bed in it before it was this Murphy-bed, and the kitchen when there was a dining table, but now that's where the "L" shaped table is which I used as a separate office outside of the bedroom. Things can still be moved around so the images are still pretty accurate.)
