We will be renting a bedroom suite available April 1 or sooner in a restored 2400 sq. ft. Victorian house at the border of Pasadena and Highland Park, for a full-time housemate or daytime use as a studio/office for a quiet and self-sufficient student/artist/writer/creative.

The bedroom includes its own full bath and a small private hallway with closet. Currently unfurnished but can be furnished. The bedroom suite is outfitted with period fixtures including beautiful lighting and a clawfoot tub with shower. The only shared wall is in the bathroom, and the entire upstairs has been retrofitted with soundproofing for increased privacy. This room is on the same upstairs floor as the other two bedrooms. Shared spaces downstairs include the kitchen with brand new refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer, living room, and dining room. Beautiful details around the house: original Douglas fir floors, stained glass details, huge windows and beautiful natural light, fireplaces in the living and dining rooms, and more. The house has new plumbing, new electrical, and central air/heat.

About This Lister

We are a husband and wife working in music and education with an almost-4 year old daughter. Our lifestyle at home is family oriented and very peaceful and routine. We eat mostly vegetarian but not exclusively, sleep from around 9pm to 7am between the three of us, and watch very little TV (on weekends and only in the primary bedroom—shared spaces downstairs will be TV-free). My husband will have an office downstairs for music work and will host clients/collaborators during the day—this work will sometimes utilize the living room but not daily.

Looking for a likeminded single housemate that either works full-time out of the house or would be content working in their bedroom suite concurrently with us working in the downstairs spaces during the day. This space could also be rented by a designer/visual artist/writer/creative professional or hobbyist that wants a private and inspiring workspace to come to during the day.
