This 1600-sq-foot furnished apartment with hardwood floors has an open floor plan, two bedrooms, one small office, storage, 1.5 baths, dishwasher, w/d, spacious 10-foot ceilings, and lovely plants. It is available June 30-Aug 22.
The MBR has a king-size bed, and the 2nd BR has a queen-size bed. The kitchen is fully stocked and there are two separate seating areas, one with a tv (with Roku) on a moveable arm. This is a friendly, quiet building of six floors with 14 units. The roof, with a small garden, is accessible by a stairwell and has seating and a charcoal grill.
The apartment, on the NW corner of Hudson and Laight, is three blocks from the Hudson River and its parks, close to many restaurants and outdoor cafes, and a few minutes to the 1 or A/C/E trains, half-a-mile walk to all other major subways.
Included in the rent are every-other-week cleaning and laundry. Utilities are not included--electric and wifi.
About This Lister
We are two academics and writers who are renting in the Hudson Valley for the summer. Our research and teaching intersect with arts and social justice. We have two daughters aged 19 and 22. This apartments, which we own, has been our home since the 1990s. We are happy to have you visit or do a video visit. We will be available to troubleshoot any problems.

Rental requirements
One month's security deposit and a half month's rent are required at the time the lease is signed. The other half of the first month's rent is due five days before the move-in date, additional rent due five days before the end of the first month. Utilities will be reconciled within two weeks of the end of the lease and the rest of the security deposit returned. There will be a formal lease. Renter must show evidence of renter's insurance before the move in date (in 2019 this cost $11/month for $10,000 for personal property and $100,000 liability with a $500 deductible). Screening includes a credit check, work references, and landlord or personal references.
