Subletting a big 2 bedroom apartment on the edge of Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The apartment is on the fifth floor of a well-kept elevator building with a responsive super. There are a few steps up to the elevator coming in the front door.
Aside from occasional neighbor noise, it's set back from the street and pretty quiet. The kitchen is right off the living room, and the bedrooms are down a long hallway, so there's privacy in different ends of the apartment. We rarely hear each other from our rooms, and the bedrooms are well-insulated from the living space. Big bathtub and separate shower.
The living room and both bedrooms in the apartment are quite spacious. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen sized beds, dressers, window AC units, and desks (one has a fire escape out the window). The living room and one bedroom get direct sunlight in the morning; the other room gets such nice afternoon light and a beautiful sunset.
Card operated laundry in the basement. Less than a mile from Prospect Park, and even closer to Holy Cross Cemetery.
2 blocks from the 2 and 5 trains at church ave + B44 and B44 select bus, and about a 15 minute walk to the B/Q at Parkside / Church Ave. Near the corner of Linden Blvd. and Nostrand.
Utilities included! No pets.
We are looking for a subletter(s) for June and July, dates flexible but with a preference for the whole time. Would prefer to sublet to one person/pair for easier communication.
We keep the apartment clean and want to find people who will care for the space. It is full of my books, furniture, and other things that are important to me, so I want to find somebody who will be respectful of the space, the neighbors, and my things.
I'm a writer and teacher; my roommate is an artist and grad student. I write a lot at my desk in the west-facing bedroom, read on our really comfortable couch, cook, and watch movies. We take good care of our apartment, and would expect a subletter to do the same. I'll be out of town for the summer, and my roommate is in her summer program.
