Less than a 10 minute walk to beautiful Fort Greene Park, my furnished, garden-level apartment is a quiet retreat from the city. Located near the Pratt campus at Washington Ave & Willoughby, it’s close to the G train, not too far from the C, and there’s a Citibike station around the corner. The peace of the neighborhood is lovely, but it’s possible to get to lower Manhattan in under 25 minutes by train. With an electric bike you can be in Chinatown in 20, or with a car in 15.

There are lots of great restaurants, cafes, wine bars, grocery stores, pharmacies, & other businesses within walking distance, and a quick walk through the park will get you to Downtown Brooklyn & City Point (Trader Joe’s, Target, Primark, DeKalb Market Hall, Alamo Drafthouse, etc.).

In the summer, the block is leafy with flowers in bloom, and Willoughby is a beautiful pedestrian-only street during most daylight hours.

It’s currently set up as a queen bedroom + large office/studio space, but a queen sized air mattress is available for the second bedroom if needed (as seen in pics).

The living area is large, with the kitchen and living room comprising one big space, part of which still has original turn of the (20th) century tiles.

The bathroom is a decent size and has a tub/shower combo.

-Washing Machine (it’s technically a washer/dryer combo, but the dryer function is honestly not very reliable :/ I always hang everything, though it’s still very helpful to have!)

-The $2850 includes rent and all utilities. This includes electric, gas, and wifi.

Accessibility
-The apartment is up quite a few steps, and then down a few more. If you have any other specific accessibility questions/concerns just let me know!

Other Notes
-My dog lives here most of the time - but he’s less than 5 lbs, barely sheds, and is a rescue mutt, but pretty close to being entirely hypoallergenic.

-I’m an art teacher, just traveling for the summer - and admittedly have quite a few belongings - but will happily work with you to make sure you have enough space to store all of your things and are comfortable during your stay.

Rental requirements

-1 month ($2850) deposit due at time of signing sublet agreement, to be returned at the end of sublet/move out.
-July rent due 6/28, August rent due 7/30 (by Venmo or Zelle).
-My landlord/the property owner requires a brief sublet application/credit check prior to signing the sublet agreement.
-My landlord will also likely be staying in the primary residence upstairs over the summer, so the sublet would be ideal for folks (1-3) who are quiet, relaxed, friendly, responsible, respectful and communicative. :)
