Utilities are included (water, electricity, Internet, heat). Rate depends on number of occupants. We prefer a longer-term rental and will offer a discount for 6-12 month stays. Possibility to extend.

This apartment is freshly repainted, newly furnished with restored original 1920s hardwood floors. The main bedroom has a queen bed and pull down black-out shades for a peaceful night's rest. The second bedroom has bunk beds.

Note: This is a walk up, there are 2 small flights of stairs. It's the private top floor apartment above a house. You will have your own separate entrance.

Fully equipped kitchen: small stove, new Blomberg refrigerator, pantry with Container Store Elfa shelves, microwave, toaster oven. (No washer, no dryer. There are two full service wash-and-fold laundromats 2-3 blocks away that are both reasonably priced.)

Sheets and towels included. Shampoo, soap dispensers, toilet paper will be stocked when you arrive. (We do not restock for long-term stays.) Cleaning crew is available to come 2x/month for an additional fee.

High speed internet, TV with Roku to connect to your own accounts.

A spacious, well appointed two-bedroom apartment with a private entrance that sits on top of a private house on a quiet block. The living area has large east and south-facing windows, a sofa, two comfy lounge chairs and a TV with ROKU, so you can connect to your own Netflix and other accounts.

The main bedroom has a queen bed, two dressers and two closets.

The second bedroom has a bunkbed and a clothing valet with a rod for hanging clothes and a shelf for folded clothes. The second bedroom very small.

Air conditioning window units in master bedroom and living room. Radiator heat for winter with radiators in every room.

About This Lister

This is a private apartment above a private house with its own entrance. You will not be sharing with anyone else. Our family lived in this apartment when we first moved and everyone who has stayed here proclaims it their favorite place to stay in NYC because of its tree views and because it is a quiet respite in a terrific neighborhood with great transportation and restaurants.

We have hosted: film industry professionals working at nearby Kaufman Astoria Studios, hospital workers at Elmhurst, visiting professors, visiting grandparents, and locals awaiting the completion of their renovation.
