Spacious 1BR for rent in a 3BR + shared office apartment. The room is unfurnished and available March 1. Located on the entire 4th floor of a walk-up building (no elevator), with the spare room used as an office, which we can happily reconfigure to suit your desk needs. You’ll be sharing the apartment with 2 mid 20s males and a 6 year old mixed breed dog!

Your room: 130sqft, personal balcony (fits small table and two chairs), large north facing window with blinds, and AC / heating unit

The apartment is well furnished and includes most appliances / furniture for living. In-building (downstairs) laundry and a laundromat around the corner, two bathrooms (one walk-in shower, one bathtub), hardwood floors, and kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and stove/oven. We are well stocked with all dishware, our dining table fits 4 comfortably although we’ve sat 6 around it before. We have a blender, toaster, kettle, espresso machine + grinder, stand mixer, dyson vacuum, and more, all for shared use.

In-wall heating & AC units in each bedroom and one in our living room – for which we pay utilities on heat and electricity. 2 skylights provide plenty of natural sunlight throughout the day! We have a large shared balcony with couches / a table, and during spring - fall I like to grow things in the planters (which you’re welcome to have space for too). We also have good wifi.

We are LGBTQ+ friendly, have no preference for gender identity in our new roommate, and welcome people of all backgrounds to join us!

We keep all our shared spaces clean, and try to keep things pretty neat but not freakishly so. We don’t have a chores schedule and just do things ad-hoc (but aren’t opposed to implementing one), and do a more intensive cleaning day once every month or two. We enjoy having company over, and like to host friends once-ish a month for games / drinks / shenanigans, and would love it if you wanted to join! It’d be cool to find someone who wants to join us on movie nights, grabbing drinks, or just hanging at the apartment, but that isn’t a requirement. 420 friendly but please smoke on the balcony / roof.

Tons of nearby spots: Jubilee a minute walk away, as well as Trader Joes & Whole Foods ~10 minutes away. Plenty of casual and fine dining, bars, cafes, gyms, and parks around. L-train Bedford and JMZ-trains Marcy stop both about a 12 minute away. McCarren and Domino parks are both nearby with plenty of activities and farmers markets on the weekend.

I'm a 26 y.o. (he/him) software engineer who goes into office 1-2 times a week. I have a 6 year old dog (great pyrenees mix)! She is extremely calm and quiet inside, and enjoys naps and the dog park. I enjoy most things creative (design, fashion, zines), movies and records, running, hockey, and soccer. I also have a lot of houseplants! I’d say I’m in the house 50% of the time.

Our other roommate (hello! this is other roommate talking now) is 25 y.o. (he/him) and works from home as a documentary editor. I like watching movies – especially in the theaters – and watching soccer. During the week I keep mostly to myself, but I tend to spend a lot of my weekends out of the house, coffee shops, walking, etc. I also like to cook.
