LI love this apartment and neighborhood. It is less than a 1 minute walk to both Prospect Park and the Prospect Park B/Q/S station.
This partially furnished studio apartment is in a well kept, elevator building and includes a dishwasher, central AC and heat, WiFi access, microwave, ample cabinet, closet and shelf space, full sized bed, a love seat, a work desk (and a folding chair or ergonomic seat if you would like me to leave it). The pictures are a possibility of what you can do in the space but much of what is there is not included. There is a good divider shelf I’m leaving for you that helps create separation in the apartment. There is a robust Buy Nothing Facebook Group in the neighborhood and you could snag anything else you need for the apartment if you’re into that.
Large east facing windows bring the sunshine in the morning and moderate light through the day. I’ve laid out the apartment so it’s soothing, blue and loungy.
The building has a laundry room with cash-less washer/dryers. The facilities are temperamental, and I’d recommend using several laundry spots in the area (including across the street).
This is a 10 month sublet with the possibility of extending. All utilities included in rent price (electricity, gas, and internet). This is a NON-SMOKING building, including in the unit. This is strictly followed.
SUPER close to the following:
-Planet Fitness gym
-Spa/Wellness studio downstairs
-Several excellent bars, coffee shops, and restaurants
-Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum
-Several grocery stores (one even attached to the building complex-yay)
Note: There is a dog currently on the premises (and a cat prior to that). The space will be cleaned prior to sublet but this may not be a fit if you have a severe allergy. This apartment is on a lower floor of a major street which means periodically (not all the time), there is the noise of traffic and partygoers. Every now and then, you might get a little waft of smoke. The windows are pretty good and will block out most but not all of the sound.
Ideal subletters: Students, professionals/artists who won't bring the party home and can be thoughtful of the space.
40 something female teacher. I love this space and would love to have someone who feels like it's a good fit for them.
