This is a bright, open 1-bedroom apartment located steps from Herbert von King Park! The apartment is only a second floor walk up in a new-construction building. The unit will come fully furnished with slight space made in the dresser & closet for your stuff. This unit is perfect for 1 person and can also comfortably fit a couple, as I have a queen-size bed. I have a few plants that would need minor watering as well, but don't let that scare you if you don't have a green thumb!
Unit has central air + heat, a dishwasher, in-building laundry, access to roof space and a small gym, communal office room, and secure mail room. Building is fully equipped with security cameras in all shared spaces, including the hallways and stairwells. The kitchen is fabulous for home cooks and bakers, and I have a large dining table that seats 6 (I only have 4 chairs tho) but can expand to fit 8-10 people comfortably. Hardwood floors are easy to keep clean, tile in the bathroom and a nice tub-shower combo. Apartment comes with wi-fi, but I currently do not own a television, sorry!
Located in the bustling heart of Bedstuy right off of Tompkins avenue, the location couldn't be better. You are steps away from incredible restaurants and bars such as Dept. of Culture, Ursala's, Bar Camillo, Bedvyne, Saraghina, Frog, and more! If you're a foodie at all, this is where you want to be. The apartment is a 13 minute walk to the G train and 15 minutes to the A for easy transit into Manhattan, Queens, or elsewhere into Brooklyn. Easy bus access to the B52 and B43 and several more within a few blocks/avenues.
I am primarily looking for someone to sublet this apartment while I go home for the month of March to job-hunt. Depending on how it goes, I might have flexible dates into April as well, but that is TBD and we can discuss.
I (she/her) am a product designer in my late twenties. I love baking, cooking, hiking and spending time outdoors.
I have lived in NYC for almost 10 years and Brooklyn for 6. I've been a tenant in this apartment since the beginning of 2023 and just re-signed my lease for another year. I absolutely love this neighborhood and the space, and fully intend to be here for several more years. Unfortunately I recently lost my job and need to spend some time at home saving money while I look for a new opportunity.

You would be subletting this apartment with permission from the Landlord. I will cover any fees that might need to be submitted with any required paperwork.
I will also ask that you cover all or a portion of the utilities (electricity and wi-fi) based on the length of your stay.
Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, but the building is very pet friendly so I don't anticipate any problems with getting management's approval. Personally I'm fine with animals in the apartment as long as any accidents are cleaned up and I am compensated for any damage that might happen. I foster cats so I have some toys, food, litter, and furniture that I would be happy to lend if needed!
