PLEASE NOTE: PET CARE REQUIRED FOR THIS SUBLET
Spacious, sunny apartment available from December 15 to February 1st, 2025, although end date is flexible. Rent ($1300 for December and $2600 for January) is subsidized because the apartment comes with two friendly cats and a few plants. Please, no other pets!
THE APARTMENT
Is furnished with bedding and towels. It gets tons of light and is spacious (by New York standards). We’re on the second floor (if you're European, it's the first floor—there is one flight of stairs).
Some details:
- Open living/dining room/kitchen with dishwasher
- Quiet bedroom with quality queen-size mattress + storage space for your stuff
- Second bedroom, set up as a home office (sitting/standing desk, monitor, erg chair—full WFH setup)
- Additional desk/office space in entryway (nicer than photos)
- Perfectly normal bathroom with combo bath/shower, good water pressure, plenty of hot water
- Laundry in building
- Partial view of the WTC and Empire State Building from the living room
THE CATS (AND PLANTS)
Two friendly cats, in good health, 11 years old. They need feeding twice a day and their litter changed once a day. We also have several low-maintenance plants that only occasionally need water during the winter.
RENT AND DEPOSIT
$2600, which is less than we pay and low for this neighborhood/space. We ask for a $750 deposit.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
We're on the border of two charming, distinct neighborhoods: Carroll Gardens, which is full of beautiful brownstones, and Red Hook, which is by the water, with lots of old warehouses converted to galleries, artists' studios, etc.
- 15-minute nice walk to the F/G trains at Carroll St.
- 10/12-minute walk to the Red Hook/Brooklyn Bridge Park ferry stops
- B61 bus right outside the door
- Nice block with lots of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, yoga studios, supermarkets, quiet bars, and a cinema close by.
WHO THIS IS FOR
We're looking for subletters who'll take good care of our home while we're away and who genuinely enjoy feline company! (Please, no other pets.) The space is best for one person or a couple. It's conveniently located if you need to commute to downtown Brooklyn or lower Manhattan.
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED
We can give you a tour in person or via video call. It would be great to hear why you're looking for a Brooklyn sublet and your experience with cats. Social media profiles that prove you're a real person are appreciated.
