We're seeking a new roommate to share our spacious, sunny, and cozy apartment in Bed-Stuy, just off the Nostrand A/C. The apartment, a warm and inviting space on the top (4th) floor of a walk-up building, consists of five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a beautifully furnished common area with high ceilings and large east-facing windows. Our building offers the convenience of laundry facilities, a small gym, and roof access, providing a comfortable living experience. The front door features code access and a buzzer system, giving peace of mind for secure package delivery.

The available room is unfurnished, approximately 7 x 13 feet, and on the second floor of the apartment. It is large enough for a queen-sized bed, desk, and dresser, with a large south-facing window looking out over our neighbors' green backyards. It is priced at $1190 per month, utilities included, and is offered as a month-to-month sublet from September 1st. Moving in requires the first month's rent and a deposit. The lease is secured through September 2025, which provides stability and peace of mind.

Currently, four roommates occupy the apartment, each leading their individual lives. This creates a dynamic where interactions are respectful yet minimal, ideal for someone who appreciates their privacy. We maintain the cleanliness of common spaces through a well-coordinated rotating chore chart, with each roommate taking turns choosing areas to clean, ensuring a tidy living environment.

Please note we do not allow pets in the apartment. However, we are 420-friendly and regularly smoke inside. Potential roommates with allergies should consider this.

Guests are welcome, though we limit visits to maintain a peaceful living environment. We allow no more than one visitor per week per roommate, with overnight stays permitted.

Rental requirements

Please provide proof of past rent payments and sufficient income to pay rent here, in whatever form you have. I also require one reference from a past roommate, whom I will call to gauge your living style. The first month's rent and a month's rent as a deposit are required to hold the room.
