Hi listers! I need to be in Michigan for a few weeks to help care for my aging parents and am looking to find someone (or a couple) that can make use of my charming little home in Brooklyn Heights while I'm there.
You'll be on the 2nd floor (one set of stairs) of an old but well-kept apartment building on a quiet, tree-lined street near Brooklyn Bridge Park (less than a 5-minute walk). There’s a great coffee shop and a laundromat across the street, a dreamy little Italian restaurant on the corner, and a short walk to shopping/groceries/restaurants/bars on Montague (including the heavenly L’appartment 4F bakery!), Atlantic Ave. and Court Street.
The apartment has a full kitchen (with a large, courtyard-facing window where my plants live), bathroom, living room/area and a small work/office space with an adjustable sit-stand desk that I use for my full-time WFH job.
The bedroom has a queen-size bed with a super comfy, organic bamboo hybrid pillow-top mattress and a street-facing window with a fire escape that stretches over to the living room window (see photos). There’s also a TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, etc., wall-mounted in the bedroom.
The apartment is super clean and fully furnished (see photos) but uncluttered, with plenty of storage space for your things. I've cleared out the left half of the closet (built-in IKEA PAX system), two bedroom drawers and the entryway storage bench for your use.
I pay for electric, cooking gas and internet/Wi-Fi; those costs are included in the sublet price.
I do have some flexibility with the dates and am open to considering different timelines; let me know what you're looking for and we can discuss!
I’m a journalist-turned-analyst (she/her) who has been living in NYC for the past 10 years. I fell in love with and moved into this apartment/neighborhood in March 2021 and feel like I found my little slice of New York heaven. The building is well-maintained but retains that old charm; my neighbors are awesome (and relatively quiet); and I have a great relationship with the landlord/building manager. I'll be your go-to contact and will share his information for emergencies.
I've had nothing but great experiences on all sides of renting apartments/subleasing/subletting through Listing Project over the years and am so grateful for this community <3

I typically like to do a quick virtual meeting first and if we’re both aligned, will arrange to show you the space in person. We'll sign/agree to a simple sublease agreement and you'll pay the agreed upon rent ($2,025 for the full three weeks +\- depending on the length of your stay), plus a $500 refundable security deposit.
