We have a room available in our 3bd home in Highland Park starting December 1st (possibility for earlier move-in can be discussed!). The house is close to the train stop and shops on Fig, and we have a huge backyard with fire pit and vegetable/flower garden maintained by Megan. The house is technically a duplex, so we are on the top floor (stairs in the front and back of the house), and a young couple lives below us.

The room is the medium-sized room in the house, open and sunny with a small closet and wood floors. Common spaces include the kitchen, living room, a beautiful little sunroom, and one large bathroom. In-house washer/dryer. We also have a garage that we use for storage and a small art studio. Because we have been in the house for a few years, the common spaces are mostly furnished but happy to discuss.

Utilities are not included. We split them all, so between wifi, gas/power, and water, we typically each pay about $90-150 a month for all utilities total.

We love this neighborhood - very walkable! Just a couple minutes to food, cafes, yoga and pilates studios, markets, concert venue, etc etc!

About you:
We really just want someone conscientious, kind, clean, easy-going! Someone who isn't a big partier and enjoys a peaceful home space. Communicative and open. Loves dogs.

About us:
Megan (she/her) is a photographer and Jessica (she/her) is a copywriter...both work from home occasionally but also periodically travel. Both in their 30s so not a huge party house, but we do have a dinner party or gathering every once and awhile, usually in the backyard. We keep the place pretty clean, simple, organized.

Megan owns a shepherd mix named Hank and Jessica owns a doberman named Rico - unfortunately for the space I think we cannot allow any more pets, but we hope you love dogs! They are both really friendly and sweet boys.

We share chores, keeping up with cleaning and organizing on a daily basis as our schedules allow. We meet regularly to check-in and discuss house stuff. Partners are around occasionally, but not too often.
