Our beautiful apartment in the heart of Bed Stuy is available for a short term lease between March 6 and April 28. The apartment is less than half a block from Herbert Von King Park, on a historic, tree-lined block full of brownstones and friendly neighbors.
The building is a pre-war, three-unit townhouse with a classic Brooklyn stoop. When you enter the apartment, you walk up one short interior flight of stairs to our light-flooded floor-through unit.
The bedroom has great natural light in the mornings, a queen bed, two dressers, a humidifier, a desk, and south-facing windows.
The living room has everything you'd need: a couch, an Apple TV, a dining table with four chairs, a reading chair, tons of plants, speakers, a keyboard, and a beautiful view.
The office is attached to the living room, separated by a sliding door. The office has an adjustable standing desk, and a couch that can flatten into a futon.
The well-stocked kitchen has a stove, oven, air fryer, microwave, pots, pans, and a view full of trees.
The neighborhood is super friendly. There are tons of shops, bars, and restaurants in walking distance, and of course the highlight is the proximity to Herbert Von King, the best park in the neighborhood.

We absolutely love our apartment, but are headed out of town for a few weeks, and are looking for a short-term subletter who will care for our apartment as well as we do.
About This Lister
We are a couple who both have been living in Brooklyn for 10+ years. One of us is a documentary filmmaker and the other is a book editor.
We are free to show the space in person before we leave town, or are happy to show the space over a video call if you are coming in from out of town.
We like to keep our space clean.
We are tenants of the apartment, and have a very chill, hands-off landlord.

Rental requirements
We are looking for a kind, respectful, quiet, and responsible sublet situation, ideally one person or a couple.
We will ask for a security deposit of $500. Our monthly rent may be prorated; utilities are included.
Mostly, we want our space respected and for it to be clean upon our return. We also ask that you water our plants.
Ideally we'd like to rent for the entirety of our stay, but feel free to reach out with the dates that work for you, and we'll see if it makes sense. Discounts may be offered for those able to stay the entire time.
There is no application fee.
