This unfurnished 2-bedroom home is 100 years old with the charm to prove it: beautiful wooden windows, trim, and flooring; built-in cabinets; and a tiled hearth.

Great light throughout, sunny deck off the kitchen, and mixed sun-shade front and back yards. Big living/dining room, modern kitchen (gas stove, dishwasher, full-size washer/dryer), one 3/4 bath (shower, no tub).

Lots of comfort and efficiency upgrades: new furnace and central AC plus cozy gas fireplace, smart thermostat, improved insulation, and custom thermal blinds.

Amazing Inner Southeast location in the Westmoreland neighborhood just blocks from the Milwaukie Ave. main drag, where you’ll find grocery, dining/bars, boutiques, gyms, and even an old-school single-screen movie theater. Great park and trail access (Westmoreland, Sellwood, Oaks Bottom, Crystal Springs, Springwater Corridor) and you can easily walk or bike to the city pool, a river beach, golf courses, and even a retro amusement park and roller rink! One-mile stroll along the bluff to Sellwood favorites New Seasons Market, Kaede, Sebastiano’s, Jade Patisserie, and Gino’s. Plus the library and Sellwood Community House.

The house is on a quiet dead-end street overlooking a wildlife refuge, and the neighborhood is paradise for birdwatchers and plant-lovers.

Rent includes lawn service, quarterly visits by professional gardeners, waste management, and normal-speed wifi ($50 rent discount if you want to handle cable/internet yourself!).

Locked shed for secure bike storage and easy street parking with access to outlet for EV charging (just a normal outlet, not specifically a car charger). Very close to Downtown, quick highway access, and nice options for bike routes.

** I’m showing the house starting Sunday, April 20th. Please e-mail to schedule. **

About This Lister

I’m a New Yorker who’s been living in Portland for 15+ years. Through an unexpected series of events, I became a landlord in 2012 in addition to my day job(s). Since then, I have been lucky to have great renters and I have been actively engaged in progressive housing policy advocacy in Portland.

Four years after we first connected through the Listings Project, my fantastic renter is headed out of state and I’m hoping that I can find someone just as wonderful to move in to this home that I treasure.

I live a few miles away from the house and am the point of contact for renters.

Lister's Relationship to the Space

I own and love this home!
