I am a Fractional CFO, which means more than just a bookkeeper! Financial Strategist and Small Business Bookkeeper may be a better name for it.
I went to Colorado State University for Business Admin and Financial Accounting. After that, I got my full time offer and an internship with one of the big four, E&Y.
Since 2012 I have been doing small business bookkeeping and consulting and have overseen over 85 + small businesses books. Helping business owners make strategic financial decisions to help make their business dreams come true.
Such as, increasing the revenue of a flower shop by an average of 30% year round in year two of their business. OR saving a year one client over $5,000 in unnecessary income taxes. I have also saved many clients thousands of dollars in unnecessary subscription fees and caught double payments and overpayments resulting in refunds for the customer.

I first got started in this work as a young, high-school aged kid when I saw my dad going through IRS Debt and foreclosure on his home. I vowed that I would become financially savvy so that I would never have to experience those things myself, and so that I could help others, like my father out of bad situations. Both he and my mother ran small businesses, so even before college I was implementing controls for them and cutting my teeth doing a massive data integration for my dad's railroad software company. I've had many great mentors over the years, from my college professors, honors advisors to people in the business world who have overseen my work.
While I was the Controller for a wine bar restaurant in Boulder, CO for five years, I was overseen by the accountant of a large local restaurant group who has a series of fine dining restaurants. Additionally, I was the Controller for another Bookkeeping and Accounting firm out of Denver, CO where I received quite a bit of mentoring and education on bookkeeping and CFO best practices. It was there that I implemented a Sales Tax program that took them from chasing their tails to filing on-time every-time. It takes a village! I am very grateful for my business and bookkeeping mentors along the way.
As a Coach, I think it is hugely important to get coaching. So I too rely on my coaches, mentors and therapists to keep me goal oriented and on the right track. We're in this together! And I'd love to help alleviate whatever financial concern had you reading to the end of this biography! Let me know how I can help, I'm here for ya.
