Available December 6 to January 13 for $2400 a month. Dates and the rate are negotiable.
I'm subletting my top-floor studio apartment in a 4-floor brownstone building with no elevator. My small but well organized and furnished apartment is best for someone who likes the quiet and minimal life: waking up to trees swaying, birds chirping, and the sun shining through the skylights and windows.
My building is on a tree-lined street, closed to cars in the mornings and afternoons. However, if you have a car, you can still come and go as needed without a pass, etc.
My apartment has 2 windows (1 from which you can see the Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building) and 2 skylights (a large one in the main room and a small one in the bathroom above the shower).
The main room has a 3-seater sofa bed from Bludot (US) that flips open into a queen-sized bed (with a foam mattress pad on top), a dining table with a bench and two chairs by HAY (Denmark), a wall of shelves from Vitseo (Germany), and wall of Algue from Vitra. The kitchen has a bar table with two stools and a gas stove with an oven, refrigerator, etc. The bathroom has a small skylight with marble walls and floors.
It's 5-10 minutes by foot from many restaurants on Dekalb Ave and Myrtle Ave, bars, and parks (including Fort Greene Park, which has a farmers market on Saturday mornings). It's also a 5-minute walk from local corner and grocery stores and a 5-minute drive from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Wegmans.
I’m a researcher who travels a lot. I’ve been renting this apartment for about 10 years and have a good relationship with my landlord.
