My peaceful one-bedroom apartment in the 10th arrondissement of Paris (a 5-minute walk from the Canal St. Martin) is available starting February 9 until May 9, 2025 (dates flexible).
$800 a week / offering a discounted price of $2000 for an entire month. Preference given to stays of 2 weeks or more.
The apartment is a rare mix of convenience and tranquility as it is located in the bustling Canal Saint-Martin area but nestled within a building with a double courtyard garden—meaning that you're protected from city traffic noise (and instead hear birdsong from the garden). It's an absolute refuge: you'll return from a busy day in the city to calm and cozy cottage vibes.
I have potted herbs just outside the front door (lovely for preparing meals at home), and another neighbor tends to the central garden. The building is very secure: you'll need the magnetic key fob to enter two locked outer doors before entering the first courtyard.

The neighborhood is friendly and well situated. Within five minutes you'll be strolling on Canal St. Martin, where all the best cafes and restaurants are! Around the corner from the apartment you'll find excellent cheese and specialty food shops, boulangeries, patisseries, a great poissonneries, a knowledgeable wine vendor, and my favorite organic food market with excellent seasonal vegetables.

🚂 10 min walk to Gare du Nord train station...also where the RER B is located (which means you can quickly get from the CDG airport via public transit. I'm an artist currently based in Paris after living in NYC for 10 years. I often travel back for work and family reasons, so I'd also be interested in a future apartment swap for a few weeks or a month (starting in August or September 2025). I love Paris but miss New York!
I found my last two subtenants via the Listings Project and it's been a great experience so far—looking forward to hearing from you!
Current tenant
This is my home filled with art and books so I'm looking for a quiet and trustworthy subletter (solo or 2 people max). No parties, pets, or indoor smoking, please.
Please send a link to previous Airbnb reviews (or some other type of public profile) and I will do the same—I understand that trust works both ways :)
To reserve the apartment, I will need a signed sublease agreement, photo ID, and security deposit.
