Hello! I am looking for two new roommates to join me in my sunsoaked, amazingly located Bed-Stuy apartment. Lease starts May 1.
- Room #1: $1175
Fits a full sized bed. No closet but can fit a large dresser, clothing rack, and vertical bookshelf. One window overlooking a tree, can fit an AC unit.
- Room #2: $1150
Fits a full sized bed, has a closet. Also could fit a dresser or desk. Two windows that can fit an AC unit.
- Utilities between $50-80 depending on the season
Such great natural light in all three bedrooms and the common space.
THE LOCATION!!! A real neighborhood, residential feel, I really love it.
- 5 min walk to the C. 10 min to the A, direct access to B26 and B43 buses
- Right off Tompkins Ave with tons to do - coffeeshops, restaurants, bars, bookstore, yoga studio, community garden
- City bike dock across the street
- 10 min walk to HVK park and Brower Park in either direction
- No laundry in the building but there’s a reliable laundromat a block away
25 y/o (she/her) documentary filmmaker from Michigan. Warm, open, caring extrovert who also loves her alone time. I do a mix of WFH and office work. At home, I love to cook (and am excited to start hosting more!), watch movies, cozy up with a book, do the crossword, play games. Outside of home I enjoy singing in my choir, practicing yoga, seeing theater and live music, going to the farmer’s market, practicing my Spanish and French. As a housemate I value courtesy, cleanliness, and open communication.
I'm excited about building a cozy, warm, vibe together with my two roommates - would love people who want to spend time together (asking how our days are, perhaps a spontaneous dinner together), and maybe become friends if it feels right! It's also important to me that we respect people’s capacity and need for alone time.
You:
- Preferably female or non-binary
- Value keeping common spaces (kitchen, living room, and bathroom) clean and tidy. Takes initiative so there's a shared responsibility towards apartment needs.
- A strong communicator: can articulate yourself & any issues you might be having thoughtfully and hear others openly and with empathy.
- Ideally at least one roommate who does not work fully from home - so we can not feel like we’re on top of one another and be able to have the apartment to ourselves sometimes
- Smoke-free
- No pets (building policy)
- Bonus if you can bring some furniture and kitchenware with you 🙂 my roommates who are moving on will be taking most with them
I'm the current tenant.
The two new people will join me on a new lease from May 1, 2025-April 30th, 2026. Landlord will do income and credit check. Guarantors accepted
One month's rent + security upon move-in.
