The Details:
The role is entry level to begin with but has competitive pay rate, health benefits, 401k matching, travel benefits, and PTO packages.
There would be performance check ins every three months to assess direction, role evolution, pay rate, and advancement.
Start from the basics, learning our services, our operational system/client database, data entry, our clients, bidding, our contracts, et cetera.
Requirements:
A strong work ethic.
The skill to take direction and work independently.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Computer skills (Microsoft works, Excel, basic understanding of Windows machines and equipment).
Patience, diligence, and discretion.
An education (whether institutional or self-guided).
A sense of humor.
The ideal candidate:
Has some corporate experience
Has experience in a similar industry.
Has HR experience.
Has QuickBooks experience.
Has management experience.
Has experience working with a mostly well-meaning micromanager (me).

Hello,
I am the owner of a well-established full-service irrigation, landscape design, and lighting company looking for a hardworking EA to work as a high-level personal assistant with room to evolve into an expanded role.
I started my company almost 30 years ago and I have always been very hands-on, and I act as the operations manager for the company, which is not as small or as simple to manage as it used to be.
I am looking for someone to help me with the day-to-day operations, and to act as my private assistant/consigliere.
The position has enormous potential for growth, and the right candidate would ideally be able to transition to more of a leadership and supervisory role.
This is a unique position, because I am looking for someone to start essentially at the bottom of the business and to learn how we operate while helping me with my own tasks. Since my former manager moved out of state, I have struggled bringing in another manager effectively because the business is full of so many moving parts that it is very difficult to take charge without learning the business first. Because of this, I have decided to look for the right person in a different way. I am willing to train the right person and to work with the right person even if they have minimal experience if they are willing to teach themselves and to work with me.
This is a good position for someone who may have a lot of experience working in a corporate environment, but who, like me, may have found themselves uncomfortable in corporate bonds or found it difficult to advance.
I’m looking for someone who is interested in taking their experience from working in a corporate environment, or at a big company, and adapting it to a smaller, more fluid company.
